We finished the Supernatural Ways of Royalty Conference at the end of September. I can’t tell you how impacted I am by the teaching I heard from Banning, Dano and Danny. I mean, it was off the charts! I get to hear 350-500 messages a year, so it takes a lot to impress me. But this conference had some of the best preaching I have heard in my life…seriously! Banning shared a word about the fear of disappointment and the way we lower our expectations to accommodate it in our lives. I was so taken back by the conviction that the Lord brought to my soul that I could hardly believe it. I have always considered myself a dreamer until Banning shared that message. I repented and I asked God to let me dream the dreams of God, not some watered down version reduced by fear or infected with disillusionment. I want the real thing.

There is an interview I did with Dano on sound and worship that is over the top. He has to be one of the most insightful people alive today on the true impact of worship and the effect music has on the human race. You can watch the interview by going to the MEDIA section of this site.

Danny taught on the power of freedom. He pointed out that we have come into a kingdom where there is no punishment. Of course he did it in a way that was classic Danny. He is so funny…he kills me.
People kept coming up to me, saying this was the best conference they have ever been to. Kathy and the worship team did such an awesome job leading us into the 3rd heaven. At times it was actually breath-taking.

It seems like every day our influence is growing. People are so hungry for the things of God. I asked the Lord to not give me responsibility for people I have no compassion for. I don’t ever want my influence to outgrow my compassion. I think it is so easy in this information age to market and promote ourselves in a way that increases our metron beyond its God-given boundaries. Whenever we get bigger on the outside than we are on the inside, we are in danger of falling.

I think real ministry is simply loving Jesus out loud. Whenever we see lovers together in the natural world, it makes us hungry for affection again. There is something about loving Jesus in public that makes people long for his embrace. But if we get overwhelmed with the cares of the world or weighed down with ministry responsibilities, then we lose our affection for God and people. This results in our ministry turning into a business, and soon passion gives way to sacrifice. True ministry must be an overflow of love for God, or it gets to be a works thing. I really want my heart to stay warm and not grow cold. May God set your heart on fire so people will come and watch it burn.

Love,

Kris
