We just got back from a weeks vacation. It was so awesome to spend four days with my family on a houseboat. I want so much to invest in my kids and grandkids memories. We have always been a close family, but when our kids were young we worked way too much. I was so intense and I didn’t understand how important it is to play together. Seven little kids, nine years old and younger, on a houseboat for four days, is a recipe for laughter. My mom and Dad came too. They are seventy years old but they both rode the Jet Skis and had so much fun.
So many people are fasting to beat the devil, but David wrote, “He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” I had this thought recently; maybe we have been fasting when we should have been feasting, and therefore our children never experienced the joy and pleasure of hanging out with the Lord. Could this be the reason why Old Testament folks were commanded to have six feasts and only one fast? Just a thought!

We just finished the School of the Prophets on Friday. 230 people came from 9 countries and 32 states. It was so amazing! But one of the craziest things about the school was the churches these folks came from. We had Episcopalians, Lutherans, Methodist, Baptist, Anglicans, Vineyard, AG, Church of Christ, and a host of others. When the school was over we were a family. People wept as they said their good-byes to each other. I must admit that I was one of them.
One of our main goals for the school was that the ’sons of the prophets’ would reemerge. We wanted to start to build a global prophetic community, where there is true relational accountability and care for the prophets and prophetic people. So we worked as hard on building relationships as we did on teaching, training and impartation. The whole thing led to one of the most amazing weeks of our lives… more later…
We are on vacation with all of our kids and 7 grandkids, staying on a house boat on the lake… pray for us!

The School of the Prophets starts Tuesday… I can’t even express to you the excitement I feel about training 220+ prophets and prophetess’ from all over the world. I remember when we first started our prophetic teams twenty years ago. Thirty of us would sit in a circle and I would teach out of a book I was reading about prophecy and then we would try it out on each other. We used Larry Randolph’s book “User Friendly Prophecy” for several years…I think I wore out 4 copies of that book. At first our prophecies were pretty bad. In the early days, we really couldn’t get anyone to come to our class to let us practice on them. But we got better after a while. We would end our class every week by practicing on victims who would make an appointment a month ahead of time. It was great fun and soon we got a reputation for blowing people away.

This is the first blog I have ever written so I am not sure what I am doing but here it goes…
My heart for our website is that we could touch peoples lives and help bring encouragement, health and revival to them. Before we came to Bethel 10 years ago, our lives were filled with one on one, life on life encounters with people. People lived with us most of our married life. Now things have changed. Public ministry exposes you to a thousand times the need, and you long for ways to reproduce yourself because you can’t possibly touch the amount of folks that are trying to get to you. No matter how hard you work, there is always a multitude of people who didn’t get help. You go to bed at night still troubled over those who you know you could help if you had time but … you don’t. So my heart is that, in some way, our family can come into your home and visit your family and we can build each other up in love! That is our mission for this website.
Much Love,
Kris
